On Names, Sources, and Translation
The Udari Codex is a living record compiled from surviving texts, oral histories,
and translated inscriptions spanning many ages.
Earlier entries favor phonetic renderings common to human scholars and traders of
their time. Later revisions adhere more closely to formal Drakonis structure as
understanding of the language deepened.
As such, some place-names, titles, and terms may appear in multiple forms across
the Codex. These variations reflect the evolution of knowledge, not contradiction.
